TORONTO — PCL Construction’s Monique Buckberger has been promoted to the role of vice-president and district manager for the Toronto district.
Buckberger will be joining the district management team of Bruce Sonnenberg, senior vice-president and district manager, who she will report to, and Marc Pascoli, vice-president and district manager.
After graduating from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering, she began her career with the Winnipeg district in 1995, working on the Norwood Bridge project. Since then she has held numerous roles in different districts, including operations manager in Regina, project director in the B.C. Region and, most recently, district manager for the Winnipeg region.
She is a CCA Gold Seal Certified project manager and holds a certificate in project management (honours) from Red River College.
“Monique brings an extensive skill set in both buildings and civil infrastructure work,” said Todd Craigen, president, Eastern Canada at PCL Construction, in a statement. “During her career with PCL, she has worked on many notable projects, including the Regina Stadium, Manitoba Hydro Place, the Disraeli bridges, and The Post in Vancouver. We look forward to seeing her future work in Toronto.”
