GUELPH, ONT. — Members of the Canadian Farm Builders Association (CFBA) convened in Stratford, Ont. for their annual conference, meeting and awards dinner recently, where they elected president Duane Westrik and vice-president Steve Adema for the 2017 term.
Westrik, of Post Farm Structures Inc., was previously the CFBA’s vice-president and Adema, P. Eng. of Tacoma Engineers Inc., was previously a CFBA director.
"Duane and Steve’s combined experience in the fields of building construction and engineering will help the CFBA address and support both current and future initiatives," said Dan Reymer, past-president of the CFBA in a statement.
"With their years of work experience and history as directors of the CFBA, I am confident that they will do an excellent job leading the CFBA into the years ahead."
The CFBA represents numerous stakeholders within the agricultural and farm-building communities.
According to a release, they work to promote and advance the construction and standards of farm buildings in Canada, representing the association in matters administered by governments and encouraging high quality work, fair dealings and the exchange of information.
