TORONTO — Infrastructure Ontario (IO) has announced that its chief commercial officer, general secretary and corporate secretary Marni Dicker was honoured with a Business Achievement award June 15 at the 2017 Canadian General Counsel Awards gala in Toronto.
The Business Achievement award is given annually to a practising lawyer who has demonstrated leadership as a senior business executive.
Dicker is responsible for all of IO’s transaction structuring and leads the legal services, procurement, transaction finance, commercial projects, business strategy and communications teams, noted IO in a media statement.
Notable past recipients of the award include Calin Rovinescu of Air Canada and Michael Medline of Canadian Tire.
Prior to joining IO, Dicker was senior vice-president, business and government affairs for SNC-Lavalin Inc.
She is currently a distinguished visiting scholar at Ryerson University, where she contributes to the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural studies and to the Ryerson Law Practice Program.
"Marni plays a critical leadership role on all of our commercial decisions. Marni’s business experience is a real advantage to how Infrastructure Ontario protects the public interest," commented Ehren Cory, IO president and CEO, in the release.
