Work continues for the Highview Residences Dementia Care Facility Phase II in London, Ont. McKay-Cocker Construction Limited began the single storey project in June for owner Inspirit Residences and completion is scheduled for December. The 16,000-square-foot facility will include a living area with fireplace and year-round porch with garden access. The project was designed by Cornerstone Architecture Inc. Consultants are: Development Engineering (site services/development); Atkinson Davies Inc. (soils/concrete testing); Gray & Fick Ltd. (structural); and MNE Engineering Inc. (mechanical/electrical). Subcontractors include: Total Demolition; Blue-Con Inc. (excavation/site work); Concrete Forming (1980) Ltd. (formwork); Dietrich Steel Ltd. (rebar supply); Eastwood 88 (structural steel); Western Ontario Drywall Ltd.; Casey Brothers (painting); London Caulking & Installation; Flooring and Design Centre (flooring); Archibald-Leyten Ltd. (millwork); Prefab Building Systems (framing); Wilf Schon Masonry Ltd.; Westminster Mechanical; R.A. Barnes Ltd. (electrical); Forest City Fire Protection (sprinklers); Pro Able Services (hollow metal doors & hardware); Courtney Roofing Ltd.; Strassburger Windows & Doors/Thames Glass Ltd. (windows); Aluminum Associates (siding); TCG Asphalt; and United Contracting (London) (curbs, sidewalks/patios).
