A cement truck driver was airlifted to Sunnybrook Hospital with life-threatening injuries after his truck rolled over on its side on Highway 427 just north of Highway 401 on Wednesday

The 34-year-old operator was driving his cement truck southbound on Hwy. 427 when a Volkswagen Jetta driver attempted to change lanes near him without enough room to do so. When the driver tried to correct her vehicle she hit the cement truck, reports OPP Sergeant Cam Woolley.

The driver of the Jetta suffered minor injuries and was released from hospital. Two passengers in the vehicle were not injured.
