PCL Constructors’ courthouse project adds modern touch to downtown Oshawa

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. began the Durham Consolidated Courthouse design-build project in May 2007. Completion has been scheduled for late 2009.

The five-storey facility will include 33 courtrooms, three motion rooms and conference/settlement rooms.

The project was designed by WZMH Architects. Consultants are Halsall Associates Ltd. and Johnson Controls LP.

Subtrades include Ron Robinson (excavating); Deep Foundations Contractors Inc. (shoring/caissons); Avenue (formwork); Salit Steel Ltd. (rebar supply); Res Precast Inc.; Benson Steel Ltd. (structural steel); CBM (concrete supply); GA Masonry; Sayers & Associates (mechanical); Plan Group (electrical); Verval Ltee. (curtainwall); and Otis Canada (elevators).
