Work continues at the Guildwood GO train station in Toronto.
Designed by RDH Architects, the $62-million project will add a number of features to the 40-year-old facility including the first-ever green roof for a GO station and a new 500-square-metre-station building with larger indoor waiting areas, improved lighting levels, expanded washrooms and an outdoor waiting plaza, which will replace the existing plaza. According to GO Transit, among the project accomplishments thus far, builders have installed the precast sections for two new pedestrian tunnels under the tracks and have erected the future utility building. Work started in January 2016 and is scheduled to be completed in early 2019.
