Facade work is moving its way up at Ryerson University’s Jarvis Street Residence in Toronto.
The developer/owner is MPI Group and Reliance Construction Toronto Inc. is the construction manager. The 30-storey, 191-unit tower will be able to accommodate 593 students and is scheduled to open in September 2018. The residence will have multipurpose rooms on the second floor, a lounge on every third floor, amenity space, bike parking spaces and retail at grade. The project was designed by Young + Wright/IBI Group. Consultants are: Bousfields Inc.; IBI Group (civil); Jablonsky Ast & Partners (structural); M.V. Shore Associates (1993) Ltd. (mechanical) and Crossey Engineering Ltd. (electrical). Subtrades include: Roni Excavating and HC Matcon Inc. (foundation).
