2018 Partners in Prevention conference set for May 1, 2

TORONTO — Event organizers have released details and scheduling for the 2018 Partners in Prevention conference, billed as Canada’s largest and longest-running health and safety conference and trade show.

The event will be held May 1 and 2 at the International Centre, 6900 Airport Rd. in Toronto, a media statement said, and this year’s theme is Shifting Landscapes in Health and Safety.

Among the scheduled sessions this year will be workshops on the impact of legal access to marijuana on the workplace and stress and mental well-being in the workplace.

Keynote speakers will include:

  • May 1 — Opening Keynote: Seth Mattison, futurist and workforce strategist, the Future of Work Today: Insights from the New World of Work.
  • May 1 — Lunch Keynote: Dr. Greg Wells, CTV sport science analyst, physiologist and author of Eat. Sleep. Move.
  • May 2 — Morning Keynote: Amanda Lindhout, kidnap survivor, journalist and bestselling author of A House in the Sky.
  • May 2 — Lunch Keynote: Dave Carroll, singer-songwriter, United Breaks Guitars — the Power of One Voice in the Age of Social Media.
