HHCA honours members with safety awards at AGM

HAMILTON, ONT. — The Hamilton-Halton Construction Association (HHCA) honoured over 30 of its members with safety awards at its annual general meeting recently.

The awards are intended to recognize member firms who achieved success in minimizing injuries in 2015/2016, said a media statement. Forty-eight HHCA members obtained a score of one or less, considered excellent, the statement indicated.

Winners included:

Category 1, 500,000 average hours worked and over — Aecon Industrial, Alberici Constructors Ltd., Plan Group Inc., Safway Services Canada Inc., The State Group Inc.;
Category 2, 250,000 to 499,999 average hours worked — All Canada Crane Rental Corp., Fer-Pal Construction Ltd., King Paving & Construction Company, Reimar Construction Corp., Viana Roofing & Sheet Metal Ltd.;
