TORONTO — Awards were presented to three safety leaders at eCompliance’s NXT 2018: The Future of EHS, held recently in Scottsdale, Ariz.
The David Ellis Award was presented to Steve Chaplin, vice-president of health, safety and environment at EllisDon. The award is in honour of the Ellis family and recognizes individuals who promote safety. eCompliance partnered with MySafeWork to present the award.
The Change Agent Award, which is given to someone who has successfully implemented a company-wide safety change, was presented to David Fogarty, who is the director of environment, health and safety at Ritchie Bros Auctioneers. The award is presented by DuPont Sustainable Solutions in partnership with eCompliance.
Jorge Vazquez, safety director with MAREK, received the Safety Nerd Award, which is presented by eCompliance and recognizes a member of the community using technology and analytics to help drive safety decision-making.
