Canadian Construction Association president Mary Van Buren recently attended the Canadian Council For Public-Private Partnerships annual P3 conference in Toronto, and moderated a panel featuring representatives of government infrastructure agencies from Canada, the UK and Australia.
Van Buren also spoke to the Daily Commercial News about the role of public-private partnerships in Canada’s construction industry, as well as CCA membership’s attitudes towards the P3 model.
She also addressed the absence of infrastructure as an issue in the recent federal election and said while those in government and the industry are aware of the infrastructure challenges ahead, it remains unclear if the public shares those concerns.
