TORONTO — Due to escalating uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 virus and out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of employees and members, the Toronto Construction Association will be reducing office hours, the association reported March 18.
The intent is for the office to be open for business one day a week, Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Staff will work remotely the rest of the week. Calls and emails will be answered and emergency contact numbers have been listed on the TCA’s website.
“We are acutely aware of how difficult it is for construction industry employers to balance the competing demands of contractual obligations and public safety,” states a release issued by the association. “This in uncharted territory for all of us and employers inevitably have more questions than answers. Despite the challenges, rest assured we exist to serve and our commitment to help remains our highest priority.”
