MISSISSAUGA, ONT. — The Ontario Road Builders’ Association (ORBA) is hosting a webinar, COVID-19 Vaccination and the Workplace, presented by labour and employment law expert Keith Burkhardt of Sherrard Kuzz LLP.
The complimentary webinar will be held April 8 from 12 to 1 p.m. Burkhardt will share his expertise on the subject and the session will also include an interactive question and answer segment.
There are a lot of questions for employers across the province as vaccinations roll out. They want to know if they can require employees and, in some cases, customers to be vaccinated once vaccines are readily available; they are uncertain about the information they can collect about vaccinations; and whether widespread vaccination in the workplace means fewer health and safety protocols such as distancing, masking and disinfecting, a release indicates.
“A year out from when the pandemic first hit, we are still navigating unchartered territory when it comes to the workplace and vaccinations,” said ORBA CEO Bryan Hocking in a statement. “We look forward to Keith’s insights into this issue.”
