OAA panel to explore investment potential of sustainable design

TORONTO—The Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) has announced a public event intended to spotlight the potential profitability of low- and zero-carbon buildings.

The online plenary panel will be held May 19 at 9 a.m. EDT as part of the 2021 OAA Virtual Conference Week May 17 to 21. The Value of Zero: Investing in Carbon-Free Design will explore sustainable architecture in the context of green finance, with the following panellists: Jamie Gray-Donald, senior vice-president at QuadReal; Tom Rand, author and venture capitalist; Lisa King, City of Toronto senior policy planner; and Joanne McCallum, architect with mcCallumSather.

The event is open to the public and can be streamed via the OAA website or on the OAA’s YouTube channel.
