OTTAWA—The Canadian Construction Association (CCA) has announced the launch of an election advocacy platform to enable its members to communicate with election candidates on issues of importance to the association.
The Construction Action Network is designed to help members send pre-written letters to candidates their ridings.
The main focuses for the CCA, stated a Sept. 7 release, are increasing infrastructure investment; working with industry to build the workforce of the future; and improving the government’s approach to fair and competitive procurement.
“Construction will be a key sector driving Canada’s future economy, creating jobs, connecting communities and countries, and increasing confidence in consumer spending and private investment,” said the release.
“There is strength in numbers and the more letters received, the more our voice is heard.”
