THE BLUE MOUNTAINS, ONT. — The Ontario General Contractors Association’s (OGCA) 13th Construction Symposium kicks off today at the Blue Mountain resort in The Blue Mountains, Ont.
The three-day event features workshops including Continuing Professional Development sessions, a series of keynote addresses and the 2021 Ontario Builder Awards dinner, to be held April 8.
Among the 26 sessions will be presentations on Construction Act adjudication, building a safety culture, health and safety law, low-carbon concrete, mass timber, trends on bonds, mentorship for women, the crisis in management, collaborative contracting and construction innovation. Representatives of Infrastructure Ontario and Skills Ontario will also make presentations.
The event wraps up at noon on April 9.
“It is a real pleasure to have our famous Construction Symposium as an in-person event. Our members, sponsors and presenters make this event special,” said Giovanni Cautillo, president of the OGCA in a statement. “We tried to make this the most comprehensive construction event on the calendar and feature topics at the very cutting edge of the construction industry.”
