ULI Toronto session explores multiplexes

ULI Toronto session explores multiplexes

TORONTO—The Toronto chapter of the Urban Land Institute will hold a virtual technical assistance panel June 6 on the topic Solving the Missing Middle.

Official Plan reforms under consideration in Toronto would allow as-of-right multiplex housing with two to four units in Toronto’s single-family yellow belt residential neighbourhoods.

ULI Toronto will host a presentation and discussion of its latest multi-disciplinary advisory report, exploring the feasibility of creating these new residential units.

Representing the City of Toronto will be senior planner-strategic initiatives Philip Parker while the topic overview will be undertaken by Scott Wilkinson, director of cost management with BTY Group.

The moderator will be Naama Blonder, urban designer and co-founder of Smart Density, and panellists will be Kyra Clarkson of Kyra Clarkson Architect Inc., Jaegap Chung of Studio JCI and Ara Mamourian of the Spring Team Real Estate.

The one-hour event starts at noon.
