CPP Investments to invest in Indonesia
The Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP) and logistics real estate specialist LOGOS yesterday announced the establishment of a new Indonesian venture for the development of logistics facilities in Greater Jakarta. CPP Investments will invest US$200 million into the joint venture, which will develop a portfolio of facilities targeted at third party logistics, data centre and industrial tenants.
AGCA to release 2021 national forecast
The U.S.-based Associated General Contractors of America and Sage will release its national and state construction hiring and business forecasts for 2021 during a virtual event on Thursday at noon EST. The forecast is based on a survey of construction firms nationwide and includes predictions on how demand for construction, the need to add new staff and whether firms will invest in new equipment and technology will be impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Quebec lockdown announcement expected tomorrow
Sources across Quebec are reporting that the Quebec government under Premier Francois Legault is expected to announce a provincewide pandemic lockdown during an address at 5 p.m. tomorrow. The lockdown is expected to include construction, to be deemed non-essential.
