CMHC supports Quebec seniors residence
Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation has announced a contribution of $900,000 for the construction of the E.L.A.N. independent seniors residence on Arpin Street in Laverlochere-Angliers, Que. The residence will include 16 apartments of affordable housing.
Strilchuk joins Avison Young western team
Avison Young yesterday announced that former Canada ICI executive Myles Strilchuk, has joined the firm as a principal. Strilchuk joins the office’s mortgage services division and will focus on all asset classes across Western Canada, including commercial, industrial and retail. At ICI Canada he worked in all asset classes with a focus on multi-family development and term debt, including CMHC financing.
Andritz awarded GS work in Algoma
Technology group Andritz yesterday announced that it has received an order from Mississagi Power Trust for the rehabilitation of the G1 turbine and generator as well as other works at the Red Rock Falls Generation Station in northern Ontario. The work also includes electrical balance of plant for G1 and G2 at the station, which is located on the Mississagi River in the Algoma District. The first unit rehabilitation will start in June 2022, and final commissioning is expected in April 2023.
