Groundbreaking for Brightwater today
The Port Credit West Village Partners will hold a groundbreaking ceremony today for its 72-acre Brightwater community in the Port Credit community of Mississauga. Brightwater will feature nearly 3,000 new residences, 300,000 square feet of commercial, restaurant, retail and office space and 18 acres of new parks and green spaces. The developer is a consortium of Kilmer Group, DiamondCorp, Dream Unlimited. and FRAM + Slokker. Several phases of the project have already been put on the market.
Kick off for new Cambridge OPP station
The Ontario government has announced groundbreaking for a new $20-million Ontario Provincial Police detachment in Cambridge. The new facility will replace the former OPP building destroyed by fire in September 2018. The project has been bundled with nine other OPP replacement projects as part of the province’s OPP Modernization – Phase 2 project, led by Bird Capital OMP Project Co.
Schneider’s Uthayakumar makes Clean16
Schneider Electric has announced that its sustainable business president Susan Uthayakumar has been named to Canada’s 2022 Clean16 list. The Clean16 represents the 16 individual category leaders from this year’s Canada’s Clean50 Awards list, which recognizes sustainability leaders from across Canada. Uthayakumar was appointed to her post with Schneider last January.
