ULI to host day-long ESG symposium
The Toronto branch of the Urban Land Institute will hold an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Symposium on Nov. 4 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EDT. Discussions will focus on how real estate and land use firms across the private, not-for-profit and public sectors are retooling their business strategies to incorporate ESG principles.
Shipments of shingles fell in August
Statistics Canada reports today that shipments of asphalt shingles totalled three million metric bundles in August, down 4.5 per cent from the previous month and down 19.7 per cent from August 2020. Production of asphalt shingles totalled 3.1 million metric bundles in August, up 7.3 per cent from July and up 7.1 per cent from August 2020.
FCT signs deal with Teranet
FCT today announced that it has signed on to become the exclusive provider for Teranet’s SureFun digital fund management system, a recently launched online platform that supports contactless real estate funds transfer for legal professionals across Ontario. FCT is a national service provider in real estate technology and title insurance.
CaGBC Lunch event focuses on Excellence awards
The Canada Green Building Council continues its Lunch ‘n’ Learn series next week featuring winners of the CaGBC Green Building Leadership and Excellence Awards. The Oct. 13 event starts at noon and will focus on two projects from the Inspiring Home category.
