New BMW dealership to be built in Toronto
Policaro Group today announced plans for the construction of a new BMW dealership at 440 Evans Ave. in Toronto’s Etobicoke community. The new 65,000-square-foot facility will be built on 5.5 acres and becomes Policaro’s second BMW dealership in Toronto.
Nunavut land use plan prepares for development
The Nunavut Planning Commission today released an updated 2021 Draft Land Use Plan. The plan sets out guidelines for the use and development of resources in the Nunavut Settlement Area including planning for the Manitoba-Kivalliq infrastructure corridor and grandfathering existing mineral rights. The plan is said to “provide certainty for landowners and users about where and when projects and economic activities can take place.”
Toronto hosts high-frequency rail announcement
Federal Minister of Transport Omar Alghabra will join Toronto Mayor John Tory this afternoon to make an announcement on high-frequency rail in Ontario. The event will take place at Union Station at 2 p.m.
Ontario funds upgrades to Grimsby community centre
The Ontario government this morning announced $16 million to be spent on the expansion and renovation of the Peach King Centre in Grimsby. The funding will upgrade the community centre with improved accessibility, a full-sized gymnasium, an accessible indoor walking and wheeling track and a creative outdoor recreation space.
