Osgoode explores vital updates to managing construction liens in Ontario

TORONTO — In the face of virtual proceedings and ongoing impacts from global events, the laws and rules governing construction liens in Ontario are highly technical, complex and constantly changing.

Osgoode Professional Development will hold its third annual Legal Guide to Managing Construction Liens in Ontario on April 1, 2022. Developed for experienced industry professionals and their advisors, this one-day program provides a comprehensive overview of the crucial elements and changes affecting construction liens processes.

Attendees will learn from an expert multi-disciplinary faculty, including perspectives from decision-makers as they work through the lien trial process, obtain valuable resources, discuss best practices and understand which tactics to use – or avoid – in lien matters. An Associate Justice will also walk attendees  through a lien trial for 2022. A  tip sheet on what works and what doesn’t if your matter ends up in court will also be provided.

Attendees will also learn to evaluate what is a truly lienable service and get the key updates, impacts and best practices for 2022, including ongoing pandemic impacts and top tips for virtual proceedings.

Group discount rates are available for any registration of two or more. To learn more about this essential program, visit osgoodepd.ca/liens.
