BATHURST, N.B. — Three water and wastewater projects in New Brunswick funded under the Clean Water and Wastewater Fund are now complete.
The projects are the Dumaresque Street, Murray Avenue and Bridge Street water and sewer replacement in Bathurst; the replacement of the water supply and sanitation system on Maurice and Luc streets in Beresford; and the improvement of the existing stormwater collection system in the Village of Pointe-Verde in the rue du Parc Ouest area.
The Government of Canada contributed 50 per cent of project costs, more than $540,000; the provincial government provided 25 per cent, more than $270,000; and the municipal governments provided the remaining balance of the funding.
The investment is part of an agreement between Canada and New Brunswick for clean water and wastewater.
