PETERBOROUGH, ONT. — The government of Ontario is making investments to repair and rebuild several bridges along Highway 7/115 in Peterborough, Ont.
Construction could start as early as fall 2019 on the bridge rehabilitation projects once design details and environmental assessments are complete.
Projects include Otonabee River westbound bridge; CNR westbound bridge (just east of Ashburnham Road); Bensfort Road westbound Overpass; and two westbound bridges at the Parkway Ashburnham Drive Underpass.
“Our government is making smart investments in highways, roads and bridges to better serve the people of Ontario as our economy grows,” said Jeff Yurek, Minister of Transportation, in a statement.
“In order for Peterborough to remain competitive we rely on safe transit infrastructure,” said MPP Dave Smith, in a statement.
“The repairs to the bridges that feed into highway 115 are crucial to ensuring we can safely move people and products to other markets.”
