TORONTO — A request for qualifications (RFQ) has been issued by Infrastructure Ontario and Grandview Children’s Centre for teams to design, build and finance the Grandview Children’s Treatment Centre Redevelopment Project in Oshawa, Ont.
The new centre will support family-centred care for children and youth with physical, communication and developmental needs in Durham Region.
Submissions will be reviewed to shortlist teams with the design and construction experience as well as the financial capacity to deliver a project of this size and complexity, indicates a release. Shortlisted teams will be invited to respond to a request for proposals, expected to be released in early 2021.
Once complete, Grandview will consolidate its existing main site in Oshawa and multiple satellite locations into the new purpose-built facility located on 5.6 acres of land donated by the Town of Ajax, states the release, adding Grandview will maintain three satellite locations to reduce extensive travel times for some clients and their families.
