Noble Corporation donates $30,000 for apprenticeship and skilled trade students

TORONTO — Noble Corporation recently donated $30,000 towards scholarships for students in the Centre for Construction and Engineering Technologies, School of Apprenticeship and Skilled Trades at George Brown College in Toronto.

According to a release, the Noble Futures Award will be given to four students per year for the next five years.

Starting this 2017-2018 academic year, two full-time students in the plumbing techniques program and two full-time students in the heating, refrigeration and air-conditioning technician program and will be eligible for the award.

The scholarships will be given to first and second-year students who demonstrate financial need.

“Our goal at Noble is to support the building industry and those working in the trades,” said Jim Anderson, general manager of Noble Corporation, in a statement.

“We look forward to working with graduates from George Brown as they enter their career and we partner as industry professionals.”

Noble is also celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
