NLCA launches women in construction survey

ST. JOHN’S, N.L. — The Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association (NLCA) has launched a Women in Construction survey and is looking to get feedback from all individuals who identify as females.

The NLCA said it is aware of the challenges its members face in recruiting and maintaining valuable employees.

While it is focused on staying ahead of industry trends, seeking innovative solutions to help businesses succeed and keeping members apprised of the changing landscape, one of many areas of improvement the NLCA is exploring is the recognition of an immense pool of talent through the engagement of women in all roles in construction, indicates a release.

The goal of the survey is to explore why there is a disproportionate amount of men compared to women in the construction industry.
