TORONTO — The regional supervising coroner for Central Region, Toronto East Office, has announced an inquest into the death of Todd Feairs.
Feairs, 41, died on Oct. 12, 2016, while working at a construction site when he was struck by a vehicle fleeing a police pursuit. An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act, said a recent statement. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing future deaths.
The inquest is expected to last five days and hear from approximately 13 witnesses.
The inquest will begin at 9 a.m. on Monday, May 6 at the Forensic Services and Coroner’s Complex in Toronto.
