TORONTO — An inquest will be held into the death of Zoltan Adam after an incident at a construction site in Brampton, Ont.
Dr. Kenneth Peckham, regional supervising coroner for Central Region, Central West Office, made the announcement May 14.
Adam, 19, died on May 10, 2016, after he became pinned between the cage of a telescopic lift and a balcony at a construction site in Brampton, indicates a release issued by the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
An inquest is mandatory under the Coroners Act.
The inquest will examine the circumstances surrounding the death and the jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing future deaths.
Details regarding the date and location of the inquest will be provided at a later time when the information becomes available.
Dr. Bob Reddoch will preside as inquest coroner and Theo Sarantis will be counsel to the coroner.
