TORONTO – Toronto Police are reporting that a worker was injured Monday evening after a construction crane collapsed in the area of Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East.
Media reports state it was a mobile crane being used for Eglinton Crosstown LRT construction work in the vicinity. The worker was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Eglinton Avenue East was slated to be closed for several hours from Mount Pleasant to Taunton Roads for an investigation. The Ministry of Labour has also been called in.
