TORONTO—Three construction workers were sent to hospital Monday with electric shock injuries after a mishap at a worksite in the Robina Avenue and St. Clair Avenue West area of Toronto.
Toronto Police were called just after 6 p.m. It was reported that workers were performing a job on the roof of a residential home. As the workers were attempting to remove a hoist ladder, it came into contact with overhead power lines.
The employer is Gitson Construction.
The Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development was notified and an inspector attended the scene. One requirement was issued to the employer and the ministry’s investigation is continuing.
The incident is being termed a critical injury event.
