TORONTO — A worker was killed and the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development (MLTSD) is investigating following an incident in Hamner, Ont. August 10.
According to media reports, police were notified when the worker’s idling transport truck was found on the side of the road.
“It was reported a worker sustained fatal injuries while attempting to secure a heavy equipment load on the flatbed transport trailer,” said a ministry spokesperson in an email to the Daily Commercial News.
The ministry also said the reported employer is Villano Construction.
Two MLTSD inspectors and one engineer attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
