MONTREAL — The head of a Quebec construction firm was killed while operating a mini-excavator on a job in Montreal.
Quebec’s workplace health and safety board, CNESST, said the president of Onyx Finition et Reparation de beton died Dec. 10 following an excavation mishap in the backyard of a worksite on St-Hubert Street in Montreal.
The CNESST ordered work stopped, access to the site prohibited and use of the mini-excavator prohibited.
The firm’s website states it is active in concrete services in residential, commercial, industrial and civil construction.
The CNESST is investigating.
