TORONTO — David Sampson, a former president of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Ontario and also of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada (ACEC), passed away peacefully last month at Humber River Hospital in Toronto. He was 88.
Sampson was president of the ACEC in 1985-1986. Born in Toronto, Sampson worked as a civil engineer with Delcan and Acres engineering consulting firms, stated a death notice published online.
Sampson is survived by his wife of 56 years Patricia, their two daughters Tanya and Janet, and three grandchildren.
Sampson’s death notice stated, “He lived a full and happy life, travelling the world and enjoying time with family.”
Thanks were offered to the medical professionals at Toronto’s Humber River Hospital and LHIN Homecare Services with donations suggested to the Alzheimer Society.
