TORONTO — Five teams were named by Infrastructure Ontario as prequalified to bid on Metrolinx’s Lakeshore East — Central Corridor Expansion project in Toronto’s Scarborough community.
The qualifiers for the design-build project were announced in a media statement released Jan. 29.
The five teams are EllisDon Infrastructure Transit, the SNC-Lavalin Team, Dragados Canada Inc., Steel Head Constructors and Lakeshore Rail Construction Partners.
The project includes two grade separations, at Scarborough Golf Club Road and Morningside Avenue; track and grading work from Galloway Road to Beechgrove Drive, approximately 3.4 kilometres to the east; and supporting infrastructure, including retaining walls along the central segment of the Lakeshore East GO corridor.
A request for proposals is expected to be released in spring 2018.
