BRANTFORD, ONT.—The redevelopment, expansion and renovation of Brantford General Hospital in Brantford, Ont. will include improvements to the emergency department and mental health unit.
As part of the redevelopment, the emergency room will be enhanced to include new entrances and renovations, improve visibility for patients and staff and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality, states a release issued by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. The expansion and partial renovation represents the first phase of work on the hospital’s emergency department.
The Inpatient Mental Health Unit will also be renovated to provide a safe physical space for patients and their families and existing inpatient areas will be upgraded to make them more comfortable.
