PLACENTIA, N.L. — Three levels of government have announced joint funding of $7.8 million for the expansion of the Placentia Regional Wellness Centre in Placentia, N.L.
The federal government will spend $2.6 million on the project through the Provincial Territorial Infrastructure Component National Regional Projects fund, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is contributing $3.6 million and the Town of Placentia is allocating $1.5 million.
The project will add an extension to the Unity Parc Arena, expanding the facilities to include new pools, a fitness room, walking track and multipurpose room.
