KENORA, ONT. — The City of Kenora is receiving $1 million from the Ontario government to implement phase four of its Downtown Revitalization Project.
The fourth phase includes construction of a pedestrian-friendly plaza that will attract more visitors to local businesses as well as road realignment and replacement of water and sewer infrastructure to support the construction of a First Nations health access facility, states a release. It is expected to create 75 new jobs.
Ontario has contributed $6.92 million towards the first three phases of Kenora’s Downtown Revitalization Project.
