TORONTO — Mizrahi Developments and Hyatt have announced the first Andaz hotel in Toronto will be located within The One, which is expected to be one of the tallest commercial and residential mixed-use towers in Canada.
Andaz Toronto – Yorkville, slated to open in 2022, will feature a 160-room luxury hotel experience at One Bloor Street West in Toronto’s Yorkville neighbourhood. The One Bloor West tower was designed in collaboration with architectural design firm Foster + Partners, and Toronto-based Core Architects.
The new hotel will occupy floors four through 16 of the tower, offering more than 15 luxury suites, plus more than 12,000 square feet of event and conference space, contemporary food and beverage experiences, a spa, and more, indicates a release issued by the companies.
“Yonge and Bloor streets are the crossroads to one of the most multi-cultural places in the world,” said Scott Richer, vice president of real estate and development, Canada for Hyatt, in a statement. “Given the confluence of architecture, design and sheer quality that this project represents, we could not have found a more suitable location to bring the immersive and vibrant Andaz brand to Toronto.”
