TORONTO — Eve & Co has announced it has completed construction of its 780,000-square-foot cannabis greenhouse expansion located in Strathroy, Ont.
The expansion is situated on the same property as the company’s current 220,000-square-foot licensed hybrid greenhouse, stated an Aug. 6 release. It includes climate and automation control, auxiliary lighting to maximize yield and black-out curtains for flowering transition. Other features include integrated micro-pore netting to maintain clean room requirements and continuous roof vents to optimize environmental conditions.
The installation included 135 kilometres of heating pipe, 88 kilometres of growing support troughs and approximately 300,000 plant irrigation drippers. A triple boiler system with dual fuel oil and natural gas will ensure continuous heating and CO2 scrubber technology ensures CO2 will be fully monitored and injected for optimal plant growth, the release stated.
Universal Fabrication and BOM Group were involved in project delivery.
