Work is moving along on the Charbonnel Towns at Oaklands Avenue and Avenue Road in Toronto.
The development by Treasure Hill Homes will include 19 four-storey townhouses being built on a portion of the athletic field of De La Salle College. The existing heritage building known as the Gatekeeper’s Cottage will be retained as well as preserving two historical stone gates. The site sits on the escarpment of what was once Lake Iroquois and so the adjacent ravine is to be protected. The project was designed by Richard Wengle Architect and the interior designer is Gluckstein Design Planning Inc. Ronald Holbrook & Associates is the landscape architect and consultants are Gamaley & Associates Engineering Ltd. (structural engineer) and HVAC Designs (mechanical engineer). Subtrades include Basecrete Inc. (concrete forming).
