Flato donates $1M to new Grey County health clinic

DUNDALK, ONT. — Homebuilder Flato Developments has announced a $1-million gift to South East Grey Community Health Centre, a non-profit organization providing health care services in Grey County, Ont., to further development of a new clinic.

The new health care clinic will be located in Dundalk, stated a May 25 release. The facility will provide primary care, mental health, social and home care services to residents of Grey and Bruce Counties. The new 14,000-square-foot facility will be located at the northeast corner of Grey and Dundalk streets in Dundalk.

“We’re happy to partner with Flato Developments to build a healthier Grey County,” said Allan Madden, CEO of the South East Grey Community Health Centre, in a statement. “With the establishment of the new clinic, we are doing our part towards stronger patient care in our community in the future.”

“I am so pleased to help found the new health clinic that will deliver expanded services to the residents of Dundalk and nearby communities,” added Flato president Shakir Rehmatullah. “At Flato, we believe in giving back to the communities where we operate and build. By collaborating with an extraordinary community partner such as South East Grey Community Health Centre, we are confident that the new clinic will enable better health outcomes for more Ontarians.”

The builder previously donated more than 50,000 masks and over 5,000 tubes of hand sanitizers to assist health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic and has donated $100,000 to food banks.
