TORONTO — Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Grandview Kids have shortlisted three teams to design, build and finance the Grandview Children’s Treatment Centre Redevelopment project: Children’s First Consortium, EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare and Grandview Connection Group.
Once complete, Grandview will consolidate its existing main site in Oshawa, Ont. and multiple satellite locations into the new purpose-built facility located on a five-acre site donated by the Town of Ajax.
Proponents were shortlisted based on criteria identified in a request for qualifications process that began in September 2020, which included design and construction capability, experience, qualified personnel and financial capacity to undertake a project of this size and scope.
A request for proposals is expected to be issued to the teams this spring.
The Children’s First Consortium consists of Amico Design Build Inc., Sacyr Construction S.A. (applicant lead); H.H. Angus and Associated Limited, Parkin Architects (design team); Amico Design Build Inc., Sacyr Construction S.A. (construction team); and Stonebridge Financial Corporation (financial adviser).
EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare includes EllisDon Corporation (applicant lead and construction team); Montgomery Sisam Architects Inc. (design team); and EllisDon Capital Inc. (financial adviser).
Grandview Connection Group is made up of Pomerleau Inc. (applicant lead, construction team and financial adviser); and Stantec Consulting Ltd., Stephenson Engineering Limited, Quasar Consulting Group Inc. (design team).
