Work is moving along at the Amica Seniors Residence in Pickering, Ont.
The owner is Amica Mature Lifestyles Inc. and Rockport Group is the developer/general contractor/owner. The project includes one eight-storey residence with 165 suites which will include memory care, assisted living and independent living components and one level of underground parking. Amenities will include a pool, gym, library, a salon and an arts and crafts kitchen. The project was designed by Turner Fleischer Architects Inc. and consultants are Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. (structural) and CSEI-Intron Engineering Inc.(mechanical/electrical).
