Niagara Reinforcement Line now completed

TORONTO — Hydro One has announced completion of the Niagara Reinforcement Line in partnership with Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.

The project includes an equity ownership model that is being considered as a possible framework for future infrastructure projects across Ontario, a Sept. 5 statement said. The equity ownership plan is expected to be finalized in coming weeks.

The installation is a 76-kilometre, double-circuit, 230-kilovolt transmission line primarily along an existing Hydro One right-of-way between Allanburg Transformer Station and Middleport Transformer Station. The project was delivered by A6N, a joint venture between Six Nations of the Grand River Development Corporation and Aecon Group Inc.
