STUTTGART, GERMANY — The INTERGEO conference and expo for geodesy, geoinformation and land management is set to open in Stuttgart, Germany Sept. 17 with the theme “Knowledge and Action for Planet Earth.”
A special focus of this year’s event is on the spread of digital technology in mobility and construction, with an agenda that includes Smart Cities, surveying, laser scanning, Building Information Modelling, unmanned aerial vehicles and virtual and augmented reality, a release stated
In advance of the expo, New Hampshire-based Geophysical Survey Systems, Inc. (GSSI) and the Swedish firm Hexagon announced product lineups they will showcase at the event.
GSSI has indicated it will feature its UtilityScan ground-penetrating radar (GPR) system as well as its updated SIR 4000 GPR control unit.
UtilityScan is described as an affordable GPR model suited for identifying and marking the location and depth of subsurface features. The SIR 4000 control unit features a 10.4-inch high-definition LED display, plug-and-play GPS integration and Wi-Fi-enabled data transfer functionality.
The INTERGEO conference runs until Sept. 19.
