PACKAGE #50.2 TREE & ROOTWAD SUPPLY for PORT LANDS FLOOD PROTECTION PROJECT
in the CITY OF TORONTO

EllisDon Corporation is the Construction Manager for the Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corporation (TWRC) Cherry Street Storm Water and Lake Filling Project (CSLF) and Port Lands Flood Protection Project (PLFP). EllisDon invites eligible companies, firms or joint ventures to submit qualifications for TREE & ROOTWAD SUPPLY for construction of the PLFP project, located in the city of Toronto:
The PLFP project is expected to require Contractor(s) to provide tree and rootwad supply services for the River Valley (wetlands) and Parks (uplands) including, but not limited to:
- Source, harvest, prepare, and transport approximately:
– 470 Logs without Rootwad
– 1,272 Logs with Rootwad
– 14 Drowned Whole Trees with Rootwad
– 34 Other Whole Trees with Rootwad
– 47 Rootwad Deadman Anchors
– 3 Chimney Swift Logs with Rootwad
– 100 Logs for Park Furniture
The contractor(s) must supply the required equipment and personnel (with similar previous experience) and be able to deliver the scope of work within the required timeframes and specifications. Please note that a separate RFP will be issued for the installation of the Tree and Rootwad material listed above at a later date.
Where the anticipated contract value is greater than $250,000 the proponent will be required to enroll in EllisDon’s corporate Subcontractor Default Insurance Program, or have the ability to bond with an established surety company.
