Construction worker killed at Fort McMurray job site

Journal Of Commerce

Alberta Occupational Health and Safety is investigating the death of a construction worker at a job site located 65 kilometres south of Fort McMurray, Alberta.

The 58 year old man, an employee of Willbros Pipeline Construction, was killed on February 7th, 2011 when a side boom pinned the man between counter weights and a fuel tank.

Alberta Occupational Health and Safety has issued a stop work order, but OHS spokesman Barrie Harrison said very few details are presently available about the incident.
